We always celebrate Martin Luther King Jr day on the third Monday of January every year.  Dr. King lived a life of service in dreams of a better community.  Does it really capture the spirit of Martin Luther King Jr. day just sitting around and doing nothing?  To keep with the spirit of the day we should be spending it in service for the community.  To create change we must act.  Dr. King wanted to change things for the better of the community.  It only makes sense to honor him in doing the same.  For example you could work in a food bank, handing out food to the hungry. You could help build houses for the homeless.  You could even better your community by picking up trash beside the roads. There are many ways to better your community on Martin Luther King day.  Martin Luther king was a great man and deserved to be honored.  Spending the day in service is the best way to honor Dr. King.  I know that’s what I’m going to do.
